Ok I have been meaning to big up the wonderful Vanessa Valencia over at A Fanciful Twist for some time now. A Fanciful Twist blog is brilliant! She really takes you into her amazingly creative world. And above anything else she is just a sweetheart........hey sis we truely were separated at birth! The above image is a print that I bought at her etsy shop a little while back and the lovely she is meant that to my suprise i found 2 amazing little cards inside which I am also planning to frame. So great work Ness!
Ok not everyone gets introduced to my private world but yes I love shoes. I actually don't buy many pairs as i am terribly hard to please. Not only is it hard to please a designer but I am the proud owner of large feet size 8uk and 10 in Aus....which means i always miss out on my favourites. But here are my most favourite shoes in the world.....and i have never worn them. They are so beautiful i want to have them encased in a perspex cube as they are just amazing from every angle. I wont mention how expensive they were but needless to say there was a bidding war for them and I won. So here they are...from the amazing designers at Irregular Choice........enjoy!

I generally find the craft fair exhibitors here in the uk trade fairs pretty out of date. But it was great when I was up in Birmingham recently to see this fantastic French exhibitor with such a fun array of ideas and supplies. The colours were so refreshing. I tell you what...... you lot in the US are so lucky as so many of you are still crafting. The main problem over here is the true lack of fashionable supplies with most people I know ordering from USA and Australia on a regular basis. Hear ye all you fabric retailers ....please please help us Brits. Thank god for the wonderous internet!

This is a tribute to the wonderful Wendy Sharpe. Wendy won the highest Australian art prize The Archibald in 1996. I was taught by Wendy in 1994-1995 during a pilot arts course I was chosen to participate in. Wendy has been a great influence on my art life. I have fond memories of her especially the first time we did life drawing at the tender age of 16. All of us in the course were actually quite nervous, especially the boys. To our surprise Wendy had arranged a male model and all the boys were soooo disappointed. When i look back at the work of mine I am surprised at how good it was and how engrossed I became at the time. Wendy took us to her amazing house one afternoon which will live in my memory for ever. I had never been to a professional artist studio since going to my great uncle's the artist Les Rex when I was tiny. Everything was painted, the fridge, the furniture. So Wendy if you are reading I have some great photos of this time which I would love to pass on to you. Hope you don't mind I have used some images of you and your work I found on the net. I lost touch with Wendy when the course ended and ran into her a few times in 1996 when she won her award to congratulate her. I am so lucky to have been taught by one of Australia's greatest!
Just wanting to add a bit of sunshine to this horrid UK weather. Here are a couple of paintings I did 2 summers ago when I was missing home on an unusually hot english summers day. I am greatly inspired when I do landscapes by the world famous australian artist Ken Done. My best friend Natalie was the first love of his son Oscar and I was lucky enough to meet Ken on many occasions. I just love his use of colour. I love colour as you may have noticed and I now often add touches of fluro paint to give it extra zest.........enjoy!
Well here she is my vintage 1950's little rocking horse baby the new edition into my fairytale house. I was also lucky enough to find some vintage suitcases to use for my fabrics yay! I'm really meant to be doing my end of year paper work but I just hate it. Every year I say to myself that I will be more organised the next and to be fair to myself it is but I just really don't like doing it. Well back to the grind stone girlies.....wish me luck.
Hi my cupcakes! Here are a few of my little kitsch necklaces which I made last night.....burning the midnight hours. Did a little juant down to Chromos in canterbury for supplies which was great, only wish I hadn't been in a rush as I would have bought more supplies...my bank balance likes it though!Will put these in my etsy shop today for all the girlies across the seas should also have some in the real shops next Friday if your local. Tell me what you think?

I'm still collating my ideas for my nostalgia series. I have finally splurged on a visual diary to contain all my tinkering. Also been looking at polymer to transform my images into trinkets and goodies. Oh I love my neatly drawn world around me.......here are my scribblings......
